Who we are
TaxSeason (taxseason.net) is an independent review and comparison site that helps people in the United States choose tax filing software and decide where to keep their refund. It is owned and operated by Andiamo Group Ltd, a company registered in Israel (Co. No. 516333606), Pal-Yam 2 Blvd, Eshel Building, Haifa, Israel.
We are a publisher. We are not a tax preparer, bank, lender, broker or financial adviser, and we do not sell any of the products we review.
What we cover
- Tax filing software: online tax filing services for US federal and state returns, currently FreeTaxUSA, TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxSlayer, TaxAct, Cash App Taxes, eFile.com.
- Banking: high-yield savings and online bank accounts where you can keep your refund, currently SoFi, NexBank, CIT Bank, Axos, Varo.
- Money apps: budgeting and money-tracking apps.
We also publish tax season guides, a Tax Software Price Tracker and a filing cost calculator. We do not currently review credit cards; if we add them, they will appear on this page and in our reviews index.
How we research
- Primary sources first: prices, plans, interest rates and terms come from each provider's official website and pricing pages. Tax rules, deadlines and figures come from irs.gov and IRS publications.
- Dates on everything: every review and comparison shows when prices were last checked, and which tax year they apply to. Bank pages show APYs and fees "as of" a date, and mention FDIC insurance only where we confirmed membership on the bank's own site.
- Corrections: if you spot an error, email support@and-iamo.com and we will review and correct it.
How we score
Every product is scored out of 10 on the same five criteria, and products are ranked by score within each category:
- Coverage: which forms, income types and situations are supported at each price.
- Real cost: the total you actually pay, including state returns, add-ons and conditions.
- Ease of use: how quickly a typical user reaches a finished, accurate result.
- Help and support: access to real experts, guarantees and audit support.
- Trust and security: track record, IRS e-file authorization, FDIC membership and data protection.
Scores are our editorial judgment based on this research. They are not a guarantee of any outcome, refund or rate.
