How we make money
TaxSeason is free to read. To pay for the site, some links on our pages are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up for, buy or open a product, the provider may pay us a commission.
This costs you nothing. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go to the provider directly.
Commissions never affect scores or rankings
We decide which products to review, how we score them and how we rank them using our published method alone. Whether a product pays a commission, how much it pays, or whether it has an affiliate program at all plays no part in its score or position. No company can pay for a review, a higher score or a better placement.
How to recognize affiliate links
- Buttons that send you to a provider's website carry a small Sponsored tag.
- Affiliate links are tagged
rel="sponsored nofollow"for search engines and open in a new tab. - Every review, comparison, ranking and guide page shows an advertiser disclosure at the top.
- Links to our own reviews, guides and tools are never affiliate links.
